The subject covers basic biological concepts necessary for understanding biological networks. It also covers the fundamental concepts of the graph theory, the complexity of algorithms, major algorithmic challenges in analysing large real-world networks. Furthermore, it covers the post-genomic approaches to analysing, modelling and comparison of biological networks, as well as the application of these approaches to understanding biological functions, disease and evolution.<\/p>\n
