Students learn the key features of history of art. The aim is to understand the design tendencies in the
\ncontext of painting, sculpture and architecture. Students are introduced to ancient
\nhistory, the Middle Ages and the modern period. They are able to recognise and critically compare form
\nqualities in synchronic and diachronic perspective. They are motivated to study tendencies in modern art,
\nespecially in relation to the early avant-garde. They are introduced to the theory of art, that is, they learn
\nto critically analyse the relationship between art, science, politics and economics.<\/p>\n

\nRenaissance; High Renaissance; Mannerism; Renaissance in the north). Baroque. Neoclassicism and
