Doctoral Artistic Project – Preparation

Objectives

The aim is to develop formal procedures related to the doctoral project, and to develop explanatory and interpretive procedures that are established and developed as a self-reflexive poetic script and as an operational movement of certain theoretical systems relevant to the subject of the doctoral dissertation.

Outcomes

Students acquire subject-specific competencies in the context of shaping and understanding digital multimedia, i.e. UX design, generative art, interactive participatory art, VR art, and (optionally) animation, photography, graphic design, painting, sound design, ambient art, multimedia art and conceptual art.

Course content

Research work

Students work on a doctoral project that contains a theoretical (written) explanation and original works in the field of digital multimedia (UX design, generative art, interactive participatory art and VR art). They count on potentially simultaneous experience of various and cumulative contents. They conceptualise ambient settings and, at the same time, anticipate behavioural situations and perceptual performances in the real or virtual space of presenting the doctoral artistic project.
