Analysis and assembling of genetic sequences

The subjectc overs the basic algorithms for sequence align ment and the basics of biology necessary for understanding the genome. Algorithms that will be usedare: Smith-Waterman, Needleman-Wunsch, the BLAST family of algorithms; methods for addressing and correct in gerrors in these quencing of the genome; distinguishing errors in these quencing of the genome from the regions of the genome that are repeated.
