Objectives and outcomes

Students learn about the basics of electronic business, modern e-business strategies and models, as well as about the role of modern technologies and e-business services in companies. Students are familiarised with e-business technologies and services and they can design and implement simple e-business systems.

Introduction. Digital transformation. Electronic business models. IT infrastructure, services, applications and payments in electronic business. E-commerce. Mobile business. Internet marketing. CRM. Electronic business services: e-banking, e-administration, e-education, e-health. Internet business plans. Trends: blockchain, omnichannel access, ubiquitous computing, cloud computing, the IoT, big data.

Practical classes

Introduction to e-business. Static and dynamic websites. Local XAMPP/WAMP web servers. Introduction to web presentations. Basics of client technologies: HTML, CSS. Content management systems. WordPress. Magento. CRM systems, SuiteCRM. Integration of web portals and CRM systems.
