Network Protection Using Network Barriers

Objectives and outcomes

Students acquire a basic knowledge of administration of network communication barriers
launched under the Windows operating system. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to
perform the installation of Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway – TMG server (the name of
the latest version of the ISA server). Moreover, they will be able to configure user access to Internet
resources, to understand and configure the relationship with the DNS service, to implement network
objects and network rules, to implement access rules and system rules, to understand and implement
different types of traffic filtering and to implement templates.

Integrating TMG server and email server. Advanced application and web filtering. Configuring remote
