SPACE AND SHAPE

Objectives and outcomes

Students manage shapes in three-dimensional space. The aim for the students is to improve in interior design. They are trained to compose elements in three-dimensional space. They get acquainted with the phenomenon of modelling. They are introduced to the
basics of space design (in the context of interior design).

Lectures

Students analyse the design, aesthetic and functional qualities of different spatial structures. They analyse and compare modern and contemporary concepts in the field of stage design, interior design, industrial design and architecture. They study a space as a visual continuum.

Practical classes

In practical classes they carry out design projects from sketching and technical drawing to making a
prototype or a 3D model using the materials suitable for modelling (cardboard, balsa, wire, etc).
