Computer science – doctoral studies

Computer science has become the foundation of today’s development, both of society and of science in general. Google, Facebook, Twitter, and even the Internet itself are the results of computer science research in the fields of graph theory, distributed algorithms, optimisation, etc. There is almost no branch of science that does not require computer support, be it physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, economics, but also new branches such as artificial intelligence.

The purpose of this study program is to enable the advanced students to increase the acquired knowledge and to master the methods and procedures of scientific research in the field they choose.

Computer science

  • Study program: Doctoral studies – Computer Science (reaccredited in 2020)
  • The previous name of the study program: Algorithms, Combinatorics, Optimisation (accredited in 2009) and Computer Science (accredited in 2014)
  • Duration: 3 years (180 ECTS credits)
  • Academic title: Doctor of Computer Science
  • Number of students: 5 students

The diploma is recognized abroad in accordance with the Bologna Declaration.

Requirements for admission:

  • Completed master studies (a total of 300 ECTS credits)

Tuition fees

From a student’s point of view, tuition is an investment in their own future.

Tuition includes:

  • classes,
  • individual consultations,
  • taking exams,
  • materials in printed or electronic form,
  • software licenses,
  • unlimited access to the Internet,
  • use of other faculty resources,
