Rođen 22. novembra 1964 u Kosjeriću. Diplomirao na Prirodno-Matemtičkom Fakultetu 1987 godine. Magistrirao na Matematičkom Fakultetu 1994 godine. Doktorirao na Matematičkom Fakultetu 2004. godine. Od 1988. do 1990. godine radio u Laboratoriji za Robotiku u Institutu Mihajlo Pupin. Školske 1990/91. radio u Matematičkoj Gimnaziji u Beogradu. Od 1991. do 1993. radi kao asistent na Matematičkom Fakultetu u Beogradu. Od 1993. godine radi u Matematičkom Institutu SANU. Osnovne oblasti istraživanja su Kombinatorna optimizacija i Operaciona istraživanja. Bavi se razvojem i implementacijom heurističkih metoda za rešavanja složenih problema iz teorije grafova i razvojem metoda za rešavanje lokacijskih problema. Učestvuje u istraživanjima u okviru projekata koje finansira Ministarsto za Nauku u Tehnološki razvoj.
